Role Description
We are looking for a passionate and experienced Cloud Database Engineer to join our Global Database Team. If you have a strong background in engineering scalable cloud platforms, Python development, and working with Azure services, this role is for you.

Your Role

As a Key Team Member, You Will

  • Design and build a best-in-class cloud database platform
  • Engineer and integrate highly scalable, secure, and resilient cloud database solutions
  • Collaborate with development and business teams for smooth Azure migrations
  • Drive automation across deployments using Infrastructure-as-Code and CI/CD pipelines

What You'll Do

  • Build and support scalable and secure Azure-based database services
  • Automate deployments and integrate solutions using CI/CD and DevOps tools (Git, Azure DevOps)
  • Optimize database performance with indexing strategies and query tuning
  • Conduct POCs for new cloud tools or services
  • Enhance Azure security posture (UAMI, Managed Identity, Vault, etc.)
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with development, data, and InfoSec teams
  • Drive observability, performance, and platform evolution through automation
  • Deliver robust APIs using Python + FastAPI

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong development skills in Python with FastAPI
  • Azure Function Apps, Azure Storage API, Azure services
  • PowerShell scripting, T-SQL, MS SQL Server
  • Experience with Azure Vault, UAMI, Managed Identity
  • DevOps practices: Git, Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines
  • Cloud security and architecture (Azure – IaaS and PaaS)
  • Excellent problem-solving and self-management skills

Preferred/Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with:

  • Terraform (Infra-as-Code)

  • Kubernetes
  • Other databases: Oracle, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Cosmos DB
  • AI integration for automation
  • AWS RDS experience

  • 5+ years in cloud database engineering
  • Strong DevOps, scripting, and automation background
  • Excellent team collaboration across technical and business teams
  • Up-to-date with cloud tech trends, security, and performance optimization
