Job Title: Equity Syndication head

Location: Mumbai

Job Description:We are seeking a dynamic and experienced individual for the role of Equity Syndication head to join our team in Mumbai. The successful candidate will be responsible for spearheading ECM syndication activities and institutional sales, focusing on marketing and distribution of IPOs and other equity capital market transactions. The role requires a candidate with a strong background in institutional sales and the capability to foster relationships with HNI, PMS, AIF, mutual funds, and other institutional investors.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the marketing and distribution efforts for IPOs and other ECM transactions, collaborating closely with the team on deal execution.
  • Conduct investor targeting analysis to identify potential equity placing opportunities and IPO executions.
  • Manage the pricing process for ECM deals, ensuring optimal pricing strategies.
  • Coordinate and communicate effectively with internal teams (ECM, sales, legal, compliance, research, etc.) and external counterparties (syndicate banks, institutional investors, corporate clients).
  • Oversee the execution of Pre-Deal Investor Education and Management Roadshow programs, analyzing feedback and participating in client feedback calls.
  • Engage in fundraising activities with HNI, PMS, and institutional investors for upcoming IPOs.
  • Assist in setting up IPO syndication and managing IPO marketing activities, including investor deck preparation, roadshows, analyst meets, and interactive sessions.
  • Manage ECM syndication activities, including investor pitch preparation, marketing collaterals, roadshow presentations, and strategy development.
  • Ensure compliance with SEBI regulations and stock exchange requirements for post-issue compliances, facilitating successful listing of companies on the bourses.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field. MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in ECM syndication, institutional sales, or related roles within the financial services industry.
  • Proven track record of successfully executing ECM deals and raising capital from institutional investors.
  • Strong understanding of IPO processes, investor relations, and market dynamics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market trends and investor feedback.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
