Site Supervisor

• A site supervisor oversees daily construction operations, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to safety and quality standards. Key responsibilities include supervising workers, coordinating subcontractors, monitoring project progress, enforcing safety protocols, and conducting site inspections. They also manage site reports, resource allocation, and communication between project managers and the on-site team.
• Core responsibilities
• Project and team management: Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of construction workers and subcontractors, assign duties, and create work schedules.
• Safety and compliance: Establish and enforce safety regulations, conduct safety meetings, identify and address hazards, and ensure all workers use proper personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Quality control: Monitor the quality of work to ensure it meets project specifications, standards, and building codes by conducting regular inspections.
• Progress and reporting: Track project progress against the schedule, manage resources, and prepare daily or weekly reports on site activities, safety, and progress for project managers and stakeholders.
• Communication and coordination: Act as a liaison between project managers, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address issues and facilitate smooth project execution. Key skills and qualifications
• Education: A diploma or degree in construction management, civil engineering, or a related field is often preferred.
• Experience: Several years of experience in site supervision or a construction-related role.
• Technical skills: Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings, and proficiency with project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Soft skills: Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
