**Position Overview**:
**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Inventory Management**:

- Maintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materials and supplies.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure the availability of materials required for construction projects.
- Conduct regular stock audits to verify inventory accuracy and prevent discrepancies.
- **Material Handling and Storage**:

- Receive, inspect and verify the quality and quantity of delivered goods.
- Ensure proper labeling, stacking and storage of materials to prevent damage and ensure easy retrieval.
- Organize storage spaces efficiently to optimize capacity and accessibility.
- **Material Dispatch**:

- Issue materials to project sites based on approved requisitions.
- Ensure timely delivery of required materials to avoid project delays.
- Prepare and maintain records of material issuance and returns.
- **Coordination and Communication**:

- Coordinate with procurement teams for material replenishment and supplier follow-ups.
- Communicate effectively with site supervisors and project managers regarding material availability and requirements.
- **Compliance and Safety**:

- Adhere to company policies and safety regulations during material handling and storage.
- Ensure the store is organized and free from safety hazards.
- Implement measures to prevent theft, damage, or misuse of materials.
- **Documentation and Reporting**:

- Maintain up-to-date documentation of inventory records, including receipts, invoices and delivery notes.
- Prepare regular reports on stock status and highlight any shortages or surpluses.
- **Process Improvement**:

- Identify and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency of store operations.
- Stay updated with best practices in inventory management.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field is a added advantage ).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in storekeeping, preferably in the construction industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory control processes and construction materials.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, MS Excel).
- Good organizational and time-management skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Physical fitness to handle manual material handling when necessary.

- Knowledge of safety protocols in material storage and handling.
