We are hiring Store Keeper for a leading Construction CompanyOverviewThe Store Keeper plays a crucial role within the construction industry, ensuring the efficient management of materials and supplies which are essential for ongoing projects. They are responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, organizing and overseeing the storage of materials, and coordinating with various teams to fulfill supply needs.Key ResponsibilitiesMaintain accurate records of all incoming and outgoing materialsOrganize and label items in the storage areaMonitor inventory levels and replenish stock as neededCoordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materialsInspect deliveries for damage and discrepanciesPrepare and maintain reports on inventory levels and stock movementsSupervise and train junior storekeeping staffAdhere to safety and quality standards in all storage and handling activitiesCollaborate with the procurement team to forecast upcoming material needsResolve any inventory-related discrepancies or issuesKeep the storage area clean, organized, and hazard-freeAssist in conducting regular stock auditsImplement efficient inventory management practicesCommunicate with project managers and site teams to understand material requirementsManage and update electronic inventory systemsRequired QualificationsProven experience as a Store Keeper or similar position in the construction industryHigh school diploma or equivalent; additional certification or training is a plusSound knowledge of inventory management and control practicesAbility to use relevant computer applications for inventory trackingStrong mathematical and analytical skillsExcellent organizational and time management abilitiesEffective communication skills, both verbal and writtenAttention to detail and accuracy in record-keepingProblem-solving skills to address inventory-related challengesAbility to work effectively in a fast-paced, demanding environmentUnderstanding of safety and quality standards for storage and handlingPhysical stamina and dexterity to handle and lift heavy itemsTeam player with the ability to work collaboratively with diverse teamsKnowledge of construction materials and their storage requirementsWillingness to adhere to company policies and proceduresWork Location: Nungambakkam, Chennai.Immediate joiners are preferred.For more details contact us at / Skills: records,management,analytical skills,store,inventory management,storage,teams,materials,skills
