We are urgently looking for Purchase Manager for one of the Elevator Mgf at Ahmedabad location.

Position: Purchase Manager

Industry: Elevator Mgf

Location: Vatva, Ahmedabad

Experience: 6-10 yrs

Qualification: BE – Mechanical / Electrical with minimum 5–8 years of experience in Purchase & Procurement in Elevators / Escalator Company.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and select vendors of elevator components (motors, controllers, safety gear, structural materials, etc.).
  • Perform periodic vendor performance reviews and maintain approved vendor list.
  • Work closely with Inventory / Store team to maintain optimal stock levels.
  • Monitor purchase costs and help implement measures to achieve budgetary targets.
  • Handle vendor-related discrepancies, quality issues, and claims.
  • Lead and mentor the Purchase team (Executives / Assistants).
  • Coordinate cross-functionally with Production, Store, Accounts, and Projects teams.
  • Report regularly on procurement KPIs (lead time, cost savings, vendor performance, etc.).

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Must have worked on Product Costing models & Project Contract Finalization
  • Strong negotiation & vendor management skills.
  • Good analytical and decision-making ability.
  • Strong knowledge of local & national vendor ecosystem for elevator components.
