About the Role:
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Purchase Manager to oversee procurement activities for our construction projects. The role involves sourcing quality materials, negotiating with vendors, maintaining inventory levels, and ensuring timely delivery to support smooth site operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement effective procurement strategies for construction materials and equipment.
Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to secure the best pricing and terms.
Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid project delays.
Maintain accurate purchase records, agreements, and vendor databases.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with site/project teams for requirements.
Ensure compliance with company policies, quality standards, and budget guidelines.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with reliable suppliers.
Prepare cost reports and provide updates to management on procurement status.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in procurement/purchasing, preferably in the construction sector.
Strong negotiation, vendor management, and analytical skills.
Good knowledge of construction materials, suppliers, and market rates.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with ERP systems (preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
