Role Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Business Analyst – Counterparty Credit Risk to join our Capital Markets team. The ideal candidate will have deep domain expertise in credit risk, a strong understanding of capital market products, and proven experience in risk analytics, regulatory reporting, and project delivery.

This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams, including technology, risk, and business stakeholders, to deliver risk initiatives and ensure alignment with Basel norms and internal risk frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

Act as a key liaison between business users and technology teams for risk-related initiatives.

Work on projects involving counterparty credit risk calculations such as PD, LGD, EAD, PE, PFE, EEPE, VaR, and RWA.

Support implementation of regulatory frameworks such as SACCR, IMM, and CVA.

Analyze large datasets and risk models, and prepare functional documentation.

Assist in developing and executing UAT strategies and scripts for system enhancements.

Coordinate project deliverables across agile and waterfall methodologies.

Ensure quality assurance and control over risk data and reporting processes.

Collaborate with stakeholders to enhance operating models and identify automation opportunities.

Prepare business requirement documents (BRDs), functional specs, test plans, and reports.

Conduct risk exposure monitoring, limit management, and ad-hoc risk reporting.

Required Skills & Experience:

Domain Expertise (Mandatory):

In-depth knowledge of Capital Markets, Asset Classes, and Derivatives.

Strong understanding of Counterparty Credit Risk (PD, LGD, EAD, EEPE, PFE, RWA).

Experience with Risk Exposure Models, Limit Management, and Regulatory Risk Reporting.

Working knowledge of Basel Norms, CVA, SACCR, IMM methodologies.

Business Analysis & Governance:

Proven experience working in Agile and Waterfall project environments.

Expertise in Business Requirements Gathering, Process Design, and UAT Management.

Strong experience with tools like JIRA, Confluence, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, etc.

High-quality documentation and functional testing skills.

Technical Proficiency:

Hands-on experience with SQL, Python (basic scripting/data analysis).

Familiarity with BI Tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Dremio.

Desired Qualifications & Certifications:

Postgraduate degree (MBA in Finance, Risk, or related field).

Professional certifications such as FRM, CFA, CQF are a strong plus.

Experience in process improvement and automation initiatives.
