Job Title: Testing SME Infrastructure Platform

Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced Testing Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the design, development, and implementation of reusable testing frameworks for our Infrastructure Platform. The role requires deep testing expertise, strong Java/Python coding abilities, cloud-native understanding, and the ability to define and drive organization-wide testing strategy.

You will collaborate with platform leadership and work closely with a senior test engineer to build scalable, Kubernetes-friendly testing solutions adopted across multiple infrastructure teams.

Key Responsibilities

1. Framework Design & Development

Build scalable frameworks for BDD, Performance, Chaos, E2E, Conformance, Soak, Sanity & Smoke testing

Develop reusable libraries and tooling using Java and Python

Ensure frameworks are lightweight, extensible, cloud- and Kubernetes-friendly

2. Testing Architecture & Strategy

Assess current testing processes and identify improvement opportunities

Define testing roadmap, strategy, tools, and best practices

Standardize testing practices across the platform

3. Adoption Across Infrastructure Teams

Drive onboarding and seamless integration of testing frameworks

Provide templates, documentation, starter kits, and reusable components

Offer technical guidance to product and engineering teams

4. Collaboration With Senior Test Engineer

Co-own framework evolution and testing direction

Partner on architecture, implementation, and enhancements

5. Hands-On Engineering & CI/CD

Build custom tools, utilities, and API integrations

Integrate testing frameworks into GitHub Actions CI/CD pipelines

Work with Kubernetes-based environments for automated execution

Mandatory Skills

Expertise in Azure Cloud or OpenShift

Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes

Strong coding skills in Java

Scripting expertise in Python

Experience integrating test frameworks with GitHub Actions

Proven experience designing framework-level test solutions

Cloud-native architecture understanding

Preferred Skills

Experience with BDD, Performance, or Chaos testing

Exposure to large-scale distributed systems

Platform engineering / Developer enablement background

Strong architectural and analytical mindset

Ability to simplify and standardize testing approaches

Personal Attributes

Self-driven, ownership mindset

Strong communicator with leadership interaction experience

Ability to influence and align cross-functional teams
