The Project Manager (Governance & Delivery) will be responsible for managing one or more projects within the enterprise technology portfolio, ensuring that portfolio-level governance standards are consistently applied. Reporting to the Governance & Standardization Lead, this mid-level role will work closely with project teams to drive successful delivery, maintain compliance with governance frameworks, and escalate risks or issues as needed. The successful candidate will collaborate with PMO, delivery, and architecture teams, acting as a key link between portfolio governance and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the delivery of assigned projects, ensuring alignment with portfolio-level governance frameworks, delivery standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Support project teams in implementing governance routines, including reporting, documentation, and risk/issue escalation.
  • Monitor project compliance with established governance artefacts, templates, and operating routines.
  • Facilitate project onboarding to governance processes, providing guidance and training to new team members.
  • Prepare and maintain project-level governance documentation, ensuring accuracy and alignment with portfolio standards.
  • Track and report on project governance metrics, escalating deviations and risks to the Governance & Standardization Lead and PMO as needed.
  • Drive continuous improvement of project delivery and governance processes by identifying opportunities for standardization and efficiency.
  • Act as a liaison between project teams and PMO governance leads, ensuring consistent communication and adoption of best practices.
  • Coordinate executive and operating committee forums for assigned projects, preparing materials and supporting decision-making processes.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of governance tooling and dashboards to provide visibility across assigned projects.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in project management, PMO, or governance support roles within technology or transformation environments.
  • Proven track record of managing projects or workstreams, with strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
  • Experience supporting the implementation of governance frameworks, compliance routines, or delivery standards.
  • Familiarity with Scaled Agile frameworks, and how governance practices adapt to Agile and hybrid delivery models.
  • Proficiency in project management and governance tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, ADO).
  • Analytical mindset with experience in reporting, documentation, and risk/issue tracking.
  • Ability to learn new systems and adapt to evolving governance requirements.
  • Professional attitude, discretion, and commitment to maintaining confidentiality.

Desirable Skills & Experience

  • Experience supporting large-scale technology transformation projects in a PMO or governance function.
  • Familiarity with Agile and hybrid delivery models, and how governance adapts to these environments.
  • Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI) and basic dashboard/reporting techniques.
  • Interest in automating governance routines and compliance checks using AI-driven tools.
  • Willingness to participate in upskilling programs and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.
