Job Overview
We are seeking a Senior-level Head Chef specializing in Modern Indian cuisine for a full-time position located in Tamarind Room, Surat. The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional culinary skills and extensive experience in team leadership and quality control to manage our kitchen operations efficiently.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience in leading kitchen teams and ensuring a collaborative working environment. Team Leadership (Mandatory skill)
- Exceptional ability to maintain high-quality food standards throughout all phases of kitchen operations. Quality Control (Mandatory skill)
- Proficiency in designing diverse and innovative menus reflecting modern culinary trends while keeping the essence of Indian cuisine.
- Experience in managing and optimizing food costs while maintaining the quality and presentation standards.
- Adept at adapting to and implementing modern culinary trends to keep the offerings fresh and enticing.
- Strong negotiation skills for building relationships with suppliers to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
- In-depth understanding of and commitment to maintaining rigorous kitchen safety and hygiene standards.
- Ability to effectively utilize culinary software for inventory management and kitchen operations.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Lead and manage kitchen staff, ensuring high morale and seamless operations between all departments.
- Oversee and direct all food preparation and presentation, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish.
- Develop and curate innovative modern Indian menus aligned with current trends while preserving unique traditional elements.
- Monitor kitchen financial performance, including food costing and pricing strategies to achieve profitability.
- Source and evaluate new suppliers, negotiating best quality and prices, maintaining beneficial relationships.
- Ensure all kitchen operations comply with established safety standards and sanitation regulations.
- Implement training programs for staff to enhance skills and improve overall kitchen efficiency.
- Utilize culinary software solutions to streamline inventory and order processes efficiently.
