Department: Production

Reports To: Shift Supervisor / Production Manager

Employment Type: Full-time / Shift-based

Role Summary:

The Technician – Module Manufacturing is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining automatic and semi-automatic machines used in the photovoltaic module manufacturing process. This role ensures product quality, equipment efficiency, and adherence to safety standards while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor machines in the module manufacturing line such as:

  • Stringer, Layup, Laminator, EL Tester, Hi-Pot, IV Tester.

  • Ensure optimal machine performance with minimal downtime during the production process.

  • Conduct in-process inspections and quality checks to maintain compliance with defined standards.
  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and safe operations.
  • Assist in equipment changeovers, setups, and routine/preventive maintenance activities.
  • Identify, report, and escalate equipment malfunctions, product deviations, and safety hazards.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including machine logbooks and shift-wise reporting.
  • Adhere to Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) guidelines and 5S workplace practices.
  • Support continuous improvement activities, including Kaizen and other lean initiatives.
  • Actively contribute ideas to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Education: ITI / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, or related technical field.
  • Experience: 3 to 6 years of hands-on experience in a production environment, preferably in module or electronic component manufacturing.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Sound knowledge of manufacturing processes and machine operations.
  • Basic troubleshooting and preventive maintenance capabilities.
  • Proficiency in reading technical drawings, SOPs, and work instructions.
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing tools such as 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement techniques.
  • Strong sense of responsibility, quality orientation, and process discipline.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.
  • Flexibility to work in rotational shifts and fast-paced production environments.

Work Conditions:

  • Work Hours: Rotational shifts (Day/Night as per schedule)
  • Work Environment: Manufacturing floor (cleanroom and non-cleanroom areas)
