Pharmaceutical / Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API)
setting plays a critical role in ensuring smooth and compliant store operations. The ideal candidate will have both technical expertise and leadership ability to manage inventory, adhere to regulatory standards, and coordinate with multiple departments.

1. Experience & Educational Qualifications

Experience:

  • 5–7 years of hands-on experience in managing stores and logistics, preferably in the
    pharmaceutical, API, or chemical manufacturing
    industries.
  • Experience with
    import/export procedures
    ,
    pharma supply chain
    , and
    regulatory compliance
    is highly desirable.

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in
    Pharmacy
    ,
    Chemistry
    , or a
    related scientific discipline
    .
  • Equivalent experience in the field may be considered in lieu of formal education.

2. Technical Knowledge & Compliance

GMP/GLP Compliance:

  • In-depth knowledge of
    Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
    and
    Good Laboratory Practices (GLP)
    as they relate to material handling and storage.

Inventory Management:

  • Proficient in
    inventory control systems
    , including
    FIFO/FEFO
    , material reconciliation, and
    stock accuracy
    .
  • Experience with
    traceability systems
    and managing material lifecycle from receipt to disposal.

Material Handling:

  • Understanding of specific
    storage requirements
    for APIs and chemicals (temperature, humidity, light sensitivity).
  • Knowledge of
    handling hazardous materials
    , safety equipment, and containment measures.

Documentation & Record Keeping:

  • Proficient in maintaining and auditing documentation, including:
  • Goods Receipt Notes (GRNs)
  • Material Issue Notes
  • Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs)
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)

Safety Regulations:

  • Well-versed with
    chemical safety guidelines
    , including
    MSDS (Material Safety Data Sheets)
    , labeling norms, and emergency response procedures.

3. Managerial and Soft Skills

Leadership & Team Management:

  • Capable of leading store personnel, conducting training, and ensuring team compliance with SOPs.

Organizational Skills:

  • Strong organizational skills to manage space, material flow, and layout of the store for efficiency and compliance.

Problem-Solving Abilities:

  • Able to quickly resolve issues related to
    inventory discrepancies
