Key Responsibilities:
Strategic HR Planning and Recruitment:
Develop and implement strategic HR plans aligned with organizational goals and NABH/JCI standards.
- Oversee the recruitment and selection process to ensure the hospital attracts and retains qualified healthcare professionals.
- Collaborate with department heads to forecast staffing needs and ensure timely recruitment to maintain optimal patient care levels.
2. Employee Relations and Engagement:
- Serve as a primary point of contact for employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent resolution in accordance with hospital policies and legal requirements.
- Foster a positive work environment through effective communication, engagement initiatives, and conflict resolution strategies.
3. Compliance and Policy Management:
- Ensure compliance with Indian labour laws, NABH standards, and JCI requirements related to HR practices.
- Develop, update, and implement HR policies, procedures, and employee handbooks to reflect regulatory changes and best practices.
4. Performance Management and Development:
- Lead the performance management process, including goal setting, performance evaluations, and professional development planning.
- Provide guidance to managers on performance improvement strategies, career development opportunities, and succession planning.
5. Compensation and Benefits Administration:
- Administer comprehensive compensation and benefits programs, ensuring competitiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular benchmarking and analysis to maintain market competitiveness in salary structures and benefit offerings.
- Oversee payroll processing to ensure accuracy and timeliness, collaborating with finance to resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
6. HR Analytics and Reporting:
- Utilize HR analytics to track and analyse key metrics, trends, and workforce data, providing insights to support strategic decision-making.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management on HR performance, compliance status, and strategic initiatives.
- Recommend and implement improvements based on data analysis to optimize HR strategies and enhance organizational effectiveness.
Qualifications:
- MBA in Human Resources Management or a related field.
- 10+ years of progressive HR experience in the healthcare sector (preferably 500 + bedded hospital), with a strong understanding of Indian labour laws and healthcare regulations.
- Experience working in an NABH/JCI accredited hospital or familiarity with accreditation standards is highly advantageous.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with a proven ability to work effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Proficiency in HRIS software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other HR management tools.
- Certification such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR is preferred.
