Role Overview

We are seeking a qualified Chartered Accountant (CA) with 12 years of post-qualification experience in Direct and/or Indirect Taxation. The ideal candidate will support the organization's tax compliance, reporting, and advisory functions. This role involves working closely with AP and AR Team, Audit Team, and Consultants to ensure timely and accurate tax filings, manage assessments, and optimize tax efficiency while maintaining full compliance with statutory regulations.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct Tax:

  • Preparation of replies/details to notices received from Income Tax Department

  • Preparation/Review and filing of Income Tax Returns for company and group entities.
  • Assistance in tax audits, assessments, and appeals.
  • Support in advance tax computation, deferred tax calculation, and tax provisioning.

  • Liaise with tax authorities and consultants for various direct tax matters, if required.

  • Indirect Tax (GST):

  • Review and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, 3B, Annual Return, etc.).

  • Assistance in GST audits, assessments, and compliance reviews.

  • Keep abreast of changes in GST laws and circulars and assess their business impact.

  • Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain tracker of Direct and Indirect Taxes cases

  • Maintain proper documentation of tax working papers and supporting schedules.
  • Prepare management reports on tax positions and exposures.
  • Support internal and external reporting requirements.

Candidate Profile

Qualifications:

  • Chartered Accountant (CA) – Qualified with 1–2 years of relevant experience in taxation.
  • Articleship or professional experience from a reputed CA firm or corporate tax team preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of Income Tax Act, GST laws, and TDS regulations.
  • Proficiency in Excel, tax computation software (e.g., Computax, ClearTax), and ERP systems (SAP).
  • Attention to detail and strong sense of compliance.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional coordination.
