Anaplan Analyst

The Opportunity We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated person to join the Anaplan COE team to help deliver the future of connected forecasting and planning. This person will be responsible for a variety of objectives. The ideal candidate thrives on being helpful and works hard to build and foster relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You know how to balance short term business needs with long term strategy, making trade-offs when appropriate with business realities, and pushing back when necessary. You are someone that cares about how people and business processes operate. A successful candidate has experience in FP&A and has used Anaplan before as a Model Builder or Solution Architect. You love a fast-paced calendar driven environment and have the courage to ask inquisitive questions that improve financial business processes and help people do their work in a more efficient way.

This role collaborates with Finance teams, Business Partners, and Model Builders and reports to the Director, Finance Systems. Communication skills are critical, and you must be comfortable collaborating with technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities :

Scoping and prioritization of enhancements and implementation of new Anaplan product features and balance between technical debt to ensure stability of the models.

Triage, review and collaborate with stakeholders to adequately understand their issue or change request before implementing a solution.

As the first point of contact for end user problems, provide tier 1 support by either solving their problem, teaching them how to solve on their own.

Perform administrative FP&A functions in the Anaplan models. i.e. Reconciling differences between Anaplan and source systems, granting user access, snapshots

Understand end-to-end FP&A business processes and how the Anaplan models operate within that process.

Contribute to various communications and progress updates to the business and technical team

Organize and conduct user acceptance testing with end users to ensure on-time releases.

Provide hands-on training to end users to facilitate adoption of the Anaplan models. Create training materials and contribute to FAQs.

Qualifications:

If youre a good candidate, you will have:

Experience with Anaplan development, design, architecture, and maintenance Certified Model Builder License or Certified Solution Architect License

Able to maintain complex models with fair guidance from Solution Architects Deep understanding of Anaplan Way and Connected Planning

Experience managing the teams work in progress and backlogs.

Demonstrated ability to manage business requirements with technical feasibility and trade-offs.

Walked-the-walk and has a strong finance background delivering forecasts during the month end stress.

A knack of helping people through stressful situations by helping them solve a problem or discovering the source of data discrepancies that prevents them from making progress.

Adaptability to work in a large team, small team, independently, remote and in-person.

Hunger to learn and adopt Anaplans ever-evolving platform.

Learned how to learn. You have an undergrad degree in finance, business, or engineering or have a combination of other education and equivalent work.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to switch contexts and dissect information between highly technical and business-focused topics quickly and easily. [Note that most stakeholders and adjacent teams work Pacific Standard Time hours. Working hour for this role require 4 6 hours of overlap with PST hours each working day]
