About the Role
Skylake is seeking a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to lead the digital presence of our portfolio brands and leadership voices. You will be responsible for crafting and executing platform-specific strategies across LinkedIn, X (Twitter), and other relevant channels to strengthen brand positioning, build communities, and drive engagement.
This role blends corporate communications, thought leadership, and campaign storytelling — ensuring consistency in brand voice while tailoring messages for executives, ventures, and partners.
Key Responsibilities
Content Creation & Management
- Develop, draft, and publish high-quality posts for company pages and leadership accounts.
- Craft LinkedIn announcements, X updates, and insight posts that drive engagement and position Skylake and its ventures as industry leaders.
- Repurpose and adapt content across formats (long-form, short-form, visuals, threads, carousels).
- Work closely with design teams for visual assets (carousels, infographics, etc.).
Executive & Thought Leadership
- Collaborate directly with founders and executives to shape their personal brand voice.
- Ghostwrite insight-driven posts on topics like data centres, energy, compute, AI infrastructure, and venture building.
- Position leadership as authoritative voices in the global innovation ecosystem.
Campaigns & Announcements
- Manage corporate updates (new pricing models, venture launches, funding milestones, appointments).
- Build storytelling arcs that highlight Skylake's vision and ventures' market relevance.
- Coordinate across teams for timely, aligned announcements.
Analytics & Growth
- Monitor platform performance (engagement, impressions, follower growth).
- Optimize posting schedules and formats based on data-driven insights.
- Experiment with new tactics to grow audience reach organically.
Qualifications & Skills
- 2-5 years of experience in social media management or digital communications (B2B or venture/tech ecosystem preferred).
- Excellent writing skills; ability to adapt tone for corporate, leadership, and community audiences.
- Strong understanding of LinkedIn and X (Twitter) dynamics, including algorithm behaviors and content best practices.
- Experience working with founders/executives and managing sensitive corporate messaging.
- Familiarity with tech, venture capital, energy, and compute markets is a plus.
- Proficiency with social media scheduling and analytics tools (Buffer, Hootsuite, or similar).
