Role & responsibilities

Responsible for managing mechanical construction activities for rotary and static equipment in brownfield/greenfield oil & gas or petrochemical projects. Ensure timely, safe, and quality execution of works as per approved project schedules and standards.

Preferred candidate profile

Supervise execution of mechanical works during construction, pre-commissioning, and commissioning.

Review and approve erection plans, QA/QC plans, and ensure compliance with project specifications.

Coordinate with PMC/EPC contractors for smooth execution and issue resolution.

Monitor progress, manpower, and material availability; highlight delays or cost impacts.

Witness and approve equipment testing, commissioning, and mechanical completion.

Ensure adherence to HSE standards and quality audits.

Review RA bills, material reconciliation, and as-built documentation.


Key Challenges:

Coordination with PMC/EPC and operations teams for timely project completion.

Maintaining strict compliance with all relevant codes, standards, and specifications.


Decision-Making:

Independent: Review/approve construction work, QA systems, final mechanical acceptance.

In consultation: Cost/schedule variations, quality issues.


Interactions:

Internal: Project, QA/QC, HSE, Maintenance & Operations teams.

External: PMC/EPC contractors and vendors.


Skills & Knowledge:

Strong technical knowledge of equipment erection, heavy lifts, and NDT methods.

Proficient with API, ASME, ANSI, IBR, and ASTM standards.

Hands-on experience in mechanical construction and shutdown works.

Excellent communication and coordination skills.
