
Staff Nurse

We are looking for dedicated and compassionate Staff Nurses to join our Intensive Care Unit (ICU) team. The nurse will provide skilled nursing care to critically ill patients, ensure patient safety, monitor vital parameters, and respond promptly to life-threatening emergencies under the supervision of medical staff.

Key Responsibilities
Patient Care:
- Monitor and record vital signs, neurological status, and hemodynamic parameters.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, oxygen therapy, and blood products as prescribed.
- Perform and document nursing assessments and interventions for critically ill patients.
- Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
- Maintain patient hygiene and comfort while adhering to ICU protocols.
ICU Duties:
- Assist physicians with bedside procedures (intubation, central line insertion, tracheostomy, etc.).
- Operate and monitor critical care equipment (ventilators, cardiac monitors, infusion pumps, etc.).
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition promptly.
- Ensure proper use of life-support equipment and troubleshoot alarms.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and timely records of patient assessments, medications, interventions, and outcomes.
- Report complications or unusual observations immediately to the physician.
- Ensure proper handover during shift changes.
Emergency Care:
- Identify and manage emergencies such as cardiac arrest, shock, arrhythmias, and respiratory failure.
- Perform CPR and advanced life support as per ACLS/BLS guidelines.
- Assist in code blue situations and emergency interventions.
Infection Control & Safety:
- Follow hospital protocols for infection prevention and control.
- Ensure proper sterilization and disposal of biomedical waste.
- Adhere strictly to patient safety guidelines and ICU policies.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Diploma/GNM or B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registration: Valid nursing registration with State Nursing Council.
- Experience: 1–3 years of ICU/critical care experience preferred.
Skills Required
- Strong clinical judgment and critical thinking.
- Proficiency in ICU equipment handling and monitoring.
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
- Emotional resilience and empathy in high-stress situations.
- Time management and decision-making under pressure.
Work Conditions
- Rotational shifts, including night duties.
- High-paced, stressful, and physically demanding environment.
- Requires readiness to handle emergencies anytime.
