Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Computer Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for monitoring and controlling computer systems and networks, ensuring optimal performance and reliability. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity of our operations, particularly in areas involving advanced technologies such as quantum engineering.

Duties

  • Monitor computer systems and networks to ensure they are functioning correctly and efficiently.
  • Execute scheduled jobs and processes, troubleshooting any issues that arise during operation.
  • Maintain accurate logs of system performance, incidents, and resolutions.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement updates and enhancements to systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on hardware and software components.
  • Assist in the development of protocols for system security and data integrity.
  • Stay informed about advancements in technology, particularly in quantum engineering, to improve operational efficiency.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Computer Operator or similar role is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with quantum engineering concepts is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
