Head Trade Finance - Silvassa IBU

Grade: M4 / M5

Role & Responsibilities:

  • The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing the issuance, amendment, and negotiation of trade finance instruments such as letters of credit (LC), bank guarantees (BG), and documentary collections
  • Lead and mentor a team of trade finance professionals, ensuring efficient and compliant management of trade finance activities.
  • Ensure compliance with international trade regulations and internal policies, managing financial risks associated with trade finance operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize trade finance processes, enhance efficiency, and reduce costs. Foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship within the team.
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including banks, suppliers, and customers, to facilitate smooth trade finance operations and build strong relationships.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive trade finance reports to senior management, providing insights and recommendations for improvement. Monitor and evaluate the performance of trade finance activities.
  • Drive digital transformation initiatives within the trade finance function to enhance data accuracy, reporting efficiency, and overall financial management.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in Finance, Accounting, International Trade, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in trade finance, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of trade finance principles, international trade regulations, and financial instruments such as LC and BG, with proven experience in managing complex trade finance operations.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in financial software and tools, and demonstrated ability to drive digital transformation initiatives.
