AI Automation Software Engineer – Internship

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated AI Automation SDE Intern who can work across web scraping, automation, backend engineering, and AI-driven application development. This role is ideal for someone who loves building tools, automating manual work, experimenting with AI agents, and rapidly prototyping real-world solutions.

You will work on diverse projects ranging from scraping data, building automations (n8n/Clay), designing RAG pipelines, creating APIs, deploying on AWS, and developing LLM-powered systems and AI agents. The ideal candidate is a fast learner, strong researcher, and someone who enjoys solving open-ended technical problems.

Required Skills & Capabilities

Web Scraping & Automation

Ability to scrape emails, websites, and documents and extract structured data into sheets/databases.

Knowledge of proxy rotation, headers, rate-limiting, and best practices to avoid bans.

Experience using automation tools like n8n, Zapier, Clay, or custom workflow scripts.

Ability to automate manual processes end-to-end using scripts or automation tools.

AI Systems & LLM Engineering

Understanding of large language models (GPT, Claude, Llama) and their APIs.

Ability to design and build AI-driven applications and integrations.

Familiarity with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or willingness to learn quickly.

Ability to identify, research, and evaluate AI tools to choose the best option for a given problem.

Ability to build RAG pipelines using vector stores (FAISS, Pinecone, Chroma).

Experience improving retrieval accuracy, latency, contextual relevance, and filtering.

Ability to build multi-tool AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, and executing tasks.

Python & Backend Engineering

Strong Python development skills (clean, modular, scalable code).

Hands-on experience with libraries used in scraping, embeddings, vector search, and API development.

Ability to build quick backends using FastAPI, Flask, or Node.

Experience creating and managing APIs to connect AI models with external systems.

Rapid Prototyping & Full-Stack Ability

Ability to build quick POCs using Streamlit, FastAPI, Gradio, or lightweight UI frameworks.

Experience with basic frontend or full-stack development is a bonus.

Comfortable with quick iteration cycles and delivering demos fast.

Cloud & Infrastructure (AWS Preferred)

Familiarity with deploying applications on AWS (Lambda, EC2, S3, API Gateway).

Ability to manage basic cloud infra and CI/CD workflows.

General Engineering Traits

Strong research ability to learn new tools and frameworks quickly.

Problem-solving mindset with ability to independently break down tasks.

Strong debugging skills across scraping, automations, backends, and AI workflows.

Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments.
