Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Sales Engineer - Mechanical for a full-time, mid-level position based in Visakhapatnam or Hyderabad. The ideal candidate will have 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience and will be responsible for bridging sales with mechanical engineering expertise to support company growth and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proven experience of 4 to 6 years in sales engineering or a related field within the mechanical domain.
- Sales (Mandatory skill): Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets in mechanical product markets.
- HVAC sales (Mandatory skill): Strong background in promoting and selling heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions to industrial clients.
- Industrial sales (Mandatory skill): Experience in selling products or services specifically targeting the industrial sector.
- Mechanical Engineering: Solid understanding and technical knowledge of mechanical engineering principles and applications relevant to sales engineering roles.
- Customer Relationship Management: Experience using CRM tools and techniques to manage leads, nurture existing clients, and ensure customer satisfaction throughout the sales cycle.
- Product Demonstrations: Experienced in planning and delivering product demonstrations, clearly communicating features and value to potential customers both technically and commercially.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of handling complex customer requirements and providing tailored solutions.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Identify and target potential clients for mechanical, HVAC, and industrial product solutions across assigned regions.
- Conduct in-depth needs analysis to understand and fulfill client requirements with appropriate technical solutions.
- Prepare and deliver compelling product presentations and demonstrations to prospective customers, addressing both technical and business considerations.
- Build and maintain strong professional relationships with customers, ensuring high levels of satisfaction and retention.
- Negotiate contracts and close sales to meet assigned revenue targets, while ensuring all agreements align with company policies.
- Collaborate closely with engineering, product, and operations teams to deliver tailored solutions that meet or exceed client expectations.
- Track market trends and competitor activity to inform sales strategies and identify new business opportunities.
- Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for management review, maintaining detailed records through CRM systems.
