Electrode Extraction

Role & responsibilities

• Lead and execute complex electrode extraction using Cimatron with high accuracy.
• Review 3D tool designs and define electrode strategy, spark gaps, and EDM parameters.
• Prepare complete electrode documentation: burn sheets, machining files, BOM, and revision control.
• Optimize electrode count to reduce machining time and cost.
• Coordinate with Design, CNC, EDM, CAM, and Tool Assembly teams for smooth operations.
• Guide junior engineers and ensure adherence to tool room standards.
• Troubleshoot electrode-related issues during EDM and tool trial stages.
• Ensure timely delivery of electrodes for new tools, modifications, and maintenance jobs.

Preferred candidate profile

• Expert-level proficiency in Cimatron Electrode Module.
• Strong understanding of Injection Mould / Die Casting tool design.
• Knowledge of EDM operations, graphite/copper selection, spark gap calculations.
• Ability to interpret complex 3D models and sectional drawings.
• Good planning, problem-solving, and mentoring skills.
