Job DescriptionPosition: Senior DevOps Engineer
Location: Chennai

Job Summary:
As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for automating all stages of application development by applying CI/CD principles to accelerate development and release cycles while maintaining high software quality. You will work with cross-functional teams to build scalable, efficient, and reliable infrastructure, implement observability using OpenTelemetry (mandatory), and deploy applications using modern container orchestration tools such as Kubernetes (EKS).
You will also create robust monitoring systems, enforce infrastructure-as-code best practices, and support cloud-native deployments using AWS services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with developers, QA, and IT to streamline deployment, automation, and infrastructure management.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI for various applications and environments.
- Deploy and manage containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes (EKS), and Helm charts.
- Implement and maintain observability using OpenTelemetry (mandatory) and Signoz (preferred).
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Administer and optimize AWS cloud resources, particularly RDS, S3, and VPC.
- Write robust automation scripts using Bash, Python, or Ruby.
- Continuously improve deployment processes to reduce errors and improve time to production.
- Monitor and improve performance, reliability, and availability of environments.
Required Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (preferably EKS).
- Proficient in writing and deploying Helm charts.
- Expertise in CI/CD pipeline creation using GitLab.
- OpenTelemetry implementation experience is mandatory; Signoz integration is an added advantage.
- Strong experience with AWS Cloud Services—specifically RDS, S3, and VPC.
- Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.
- Excellent scripting skills in Bash, Python, or Ruby.
- Experience in using monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and logging tools like ELK stack.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience in production-grade environments.
- Good understanding of enterprise datacenter infrastructure, networking, and security.
- Exposure to DevSecOps, automated security checks, and compliance frameworks is a plus
