Cullerton Group has a new opportunity for a Senior DevOps Engineer
in Chennai, India. The work will be done onsite. Compensation is ₹1,400 – ₹1,800/hr.

Senior DevOps Engineer — Onsite (Chennai)

Location:
Chennai (Onsite, 5 days/week)

Type:
Contract (6–12 months, extendable)

Start:
Immediate or ≤15-day notice

Hours:
IST business hours with occasional off-hours support

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab CI/GitHub Actions).
  • Manage containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm); implement GitOps (Argo CD/Flux) where applicable.
  • Provision and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS or Azure) using IaC (Terraform).
  • Implement observability (Prometheus/Grafana, ELK/OpenSearch, CloudWatch); define SLOs and alerts.
  • Automate ops workflows with Python/Bash; harden systems and secrets (KMS/HashiCorp Vault).
  • Own release, incident, and problem management; drive post-mortems and reliability improvements.
  • Optimize cost, performance, and security across environments (dev/stage/prod).

Required Skills & Experience

  • 7–10+ years in DevOps/SRE with recent hands-on production experience.
  • Strong Kubernetes, Terraform, and one major cloud (AWS preferred).
  • Proven CI/CD design, artifact management, and blue/green or canary releases.
  • Networking fundamentals (VPC, subnets, routing, load balancers), Linux administration.
  • Security best practices (IAM, RBAC, patching, vulnerability scanning).
  • Scripting (Python or Bash) and Git workflows.

Nice to Have

  • Service mesh (Istio/Linkerd), policy as code (OPA), serverless (Lambda/Functions).
  • Database operations (Postgres/MySQL/NoSQL), caching (Redis), message brokers (Kafka/SQS).
  • Certifications: AWS/Azure Associate or Pro; CKAD/CKA.
