Job Summary:

The Billing Engineer will be responsible for preparing, verifying, and maintaining project billing records, quantity measurements, and cost documentation for civil works. The role requires coordination between site execution, planning, and accounts teams to ensure timely submission and certification of client and subcontractor bills as per contract terms.

Key Responsibilities:1. Client Billing:

  • Prepare running account (RA) bills and final bills in accordance with contract drawings, BOQ, and specifications.
  • Verify executed quantities on-site and reconcile them with approved drawings and DPRs.
  • Ensure all measurements are properly recorded and supported with joint measurement sheets (JMS) and sketches.
  • Liaise with client representatives / consultants for bill verification and certification.
  • Track billing progress and ensure timely submission of bills and supporting documents.

2. Subcontractor Billing:

  • Prepare and certify subcontractor bills based on work orders and site measurements.
  • Verify rates, quantities, and deductions (mobilization advance, retention, recoveries, etc.).
  • Maintain reconciliation between subcontractor bills and client billing quantities.

3. Quantity Estimation & Reconciliation:

  • Take off quantities from construction drawings for civil, structural, and finishing works.
  • Maintain reconciliation of steel, concrete, shuttering, and other key materials.
  • Assist planning and procurement teams with updated quantity estimates and cost tracking.

4. Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain billing registers, abstract sheets, and progress tracking reports.
  • Prepare supporting documentation for audits and client inspections.
  • Ensure all billing data is backed by proper documentation, drawings, and field measurements.
  • Generate periodic MIS reports on billing and cost status.

5. Coordination & Compliance:

  • Coordinate with site engineers, QS, planning, and accounts teams for smooth billing workflow.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual terms, drawings, and relevant IS codes.
  • Support in variation / extra item preparation and rate analysis.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of quantity surveying, measurement techniques, and IS codes.
  • Hands-on experience with AutoCAD, MS Excel, and billing software (e.g., ERP / SAP / CCS / MS Project).
  • Good understanding of RCC, structural, and finishing works.
  • Excellent analytical, documentation, and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and capable of working under strict timelines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹30, ₹35,000.00 per month
