Job Summary:

The Billing Engineer is responsible for preparing and verifying bills for construction projects, ensuring accurate cost estimation, material reconciliation, and timely invoicing. The role requires strong coordination with site engineers, vendors, and accounts teams to maintain transparency in project costs and payments.

Key Responsibilities:

Billing & Documentation:

  • Prepare client and subcontractor bills as per project progress and contract terms.
  • Verify and reconcile quantities from site reports with contractor bills.
  • Maintain and update billing records, payment certificates, and work orders.

Costing/Budgeting:

  • Assist in cost estimation for materials and labor for ongoing and new projects.
  • Work closely with the procurement team to ensure budget compliance.
  • Prepare rate analysis for various work components.

Coordination & Compliance:

  • Collaborate with site engineers and project managers to validate work completion.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual agreements, government regulations, and company policies.
  • Coordinate with the finance team for invoice approvals and payment processing.

Reporting & Analysis:

  • Generate reports on project expenses, cost variations, and pending bills.
  • Identify discrepancies in billing and suggest corrective measures.
  • Assist in the preparation of project financial forecasts.
