Job Overview:

TopMentor is seeking an experienced Data Science Mentor with a passion for teaching and guiding aspiring data professionals. This part-time role is ideal for individuals with at least 2 years of experience in the data science and analytics domain, either in an industry role or as an educator. The mentor will provide support to students enrolled in data science courses, assisting with projects, resolving queries, and enhancing their practical understanding of data science concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide and mentor students on their data science learning journey.
  • Provide detailed feedback on student assignments, projects, and assessments.
  • Conduct online mentoring sessions, either one-on-one or in groups, on topics like data analytics, machine learning, and data visualization.
  • Assist students in understanding data science tools and techniques, including Python, R, SQL, Power BI, and machine learning algorithms.
  • Support students with real-world project challenges and help them build a professional portfolio.
  • Ensure students are well-prepared for job interviews and career opportunities in the field of data science.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and emerging technologies in data science and analytics.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the data science and analytics field (industry or teaching).
  • Strong understanding of data science concepts, tools, and programming languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
  • Hands-on experience with machine learning, data visualization, and statistical analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills with a passion for teaching and helping students grow.
  • Ability to provide constructive feedback and guide students through practical projects.
  • Availability for weekend or evening mentorship sessions, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous teaching or mentoring experience in data science.
  • Certifications in data science or related fields (IBM, NASSCOM, etc.).
  • Experience in working with data science tools like Power BI, Tableau, etc.
