Role: Transition Lead

Location: Chennai (Onsite)

Experience: 6 – 8 Years

Notice: Immediate Joiners / Less than 15 Days

Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled Transition Lead to oversee the successful delivery of development and quality engineering activities during a critical client transition program. Acting as the delivery prime and technical single point of contact (SPOC) for the client, the Transition Lead will ensure seamless knowledge transfer, delivery excellence, and alignment with client expectations. This role requires hands-on full stack expertise (Java/Spring Boot, React/Redux, AWS), delivery oversight, and the ability to lead cross-functional squads.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as the primary delivery owner and technical SPOC for the client during the transition program.
  • Lead and oversee the delivery of full stack development and quality engineering activities across multiple squads.
  • Provide technical guidance in backend (Java, Spring Boot, microservices, APIs) and frontend (React/Redux) development.
  • Drive knowledge transfer, onboarding, and ramp-up of the new team replacing contractors.
  • Ensure adherence to engineering best practices, DevOps principles, and Agile delivery frameworks.
  • Partner with the Project Manager/Scrum Master to align delivery execution with program governance.
  • Contribute to architectural discussions, performance optimization, and enterprise integration.
  • Champion CI/CD practices, automation, and modern deployment strategies (containerization, IaC).
  • Track delivery risks/issues and ensure timely escalation and resolution.
  • Mentor engineers, foster collaboration, and introduce new best practices as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
  • 8–10+ years of professional experience in software development and delivery, with at least 3+ years in a leadership/technical lead role.
  • Strong full stack expertise including:
  • Backend: Java, Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, microservices.
  • Frontend: React/Redux, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, UI best practices.
  • Database: MySQL/Postgres (schema design, SQL optimization), exposure to NoSQL is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, Lambda, Fargate, Step Functions, CloudWatch, IaC).
  • Familiarity with Linux-based systems, DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Knowledge of data streaming technologies (Kafka) is an added advantage.
  • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong experience in mentoring, technical leadership, and client engagement.
