POSITION TITLE: Data Engineer

LOCATION: Noida- India

TOTAL YEARS: 5-7 years

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Summary:

Looking for a Data Engineer with 57 years of experience in designing and implementing scalable data pipelines and solutions on AWS. Must be proficient in AWS Glue, PySpark, Spark SQL, S3, and RDS, with expertise in database design, ETL development, and data integration. Hands-on experience in Master Data Management, Data Quality frameworks, and governance practices is essential, along with the ability to optimize performance and ensure data reliability at scale.

Technical Skillset – Data Engineer (5–7 Years of Experience)

PySpark & Spark SQL: Hands-on experience in data processing with PySpark, performing advanced transformations, and writing optimized Spark SQL queries for high-volume datasets.

Talend: Developing and managing ETL processes using Talend, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and optimal performance.

AWS Glue (ETL Development & Orchestration): Proven expertise in designing, developing, and optimizing ETL pipelines using AWS Glue, including Glue Catalog and Glue Jobs for large-scale data processing.

Amazon S3 (Data Lake): Experience in designing and managing data lakes on Amazon S3, ensuring optimization and secure data access.

Amazon RDS & Relational Databases: Skilled in database design, schema modelling, query tuning, and performance optimization on relational database systems.

Database Design & Data Modelling: Understanding of conceptual, logical, and physical database design to support analytics and reporting requirements.

Master Data Management (MDM): Knowledge of MDM principles and implementation approaches to ensure consistency, accuracy, and a single source of truth across enterprise data assets.

Data Quality: Understanding of data quality frameworks, including validation, cleansing, standardization, and monitoring, to maintain high levels of trust and compliance in data assets.

ETL / Data Integration: End-to-end expertise in building scalable, automated, and reusable ETL workflows for batch and near real-time data integration across heterogeneous data sources.

Best Practices & Optimization: Strong focus on performance tuning, cost optimization, and following data engineering best practices for scalability, maintainability, and security in cloud environments.

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduation in Computer Science (BTech/BCA) from a reputed institution.
  • Specialized certifications in Cloud platforms is a plus.
