Job Overview

We are seeking a mid-level Purchase Manager for our Vadodara location. This full-time role involves overseeing the procurement process for transformers and related components, ensuring efficiency, cost mitigation, and quality assurance across all vendor purchase decisions. Expertise in procurement, vendor management, and production strategies is essential to support our operations while maintaining cost-efficiency and high product standards.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in vendor management with the ability to establish and maintain supplier relationships, ensuring effective procurement processes.
  • Proven experience in cost reduction and sourcing strategies.
  • Excellent negotiation skills to secure favorable terms, prices, and delivery from suppliers.
  • Proficiency in SAP ERP and materials planning.
  • Ability to develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company standards and objectives.
  • Competence in using analytical skills to evaluate vendor performance and make informed purchasing decisions.
  • Expertise in procurement with a focus on strategic sourcing.
  • Capable of implementing cost reduction initiatives without compromising on quality.
  • Strong understanding of global market trends and their impact on procurement strategies.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Manage and optimize the procurement process for transformer production materials and components.
  • Analyze market trends and develop strategies to improve vendor relations and sourcing options.
  • Track and report key functional metrics to reduce expenses and improve supplier interactions.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure optimal terms for the company.
  • Collaborate closely with the production team to align materials sourcing with production schedules.
  • Provide guidance and training to enhance team capabilities within the procurement department.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all purchasing activities, maintaining documentation for audits and reporting purposes.
