About the Role

We are building an
AI-driven Copilot for Hardware Engineering
that combines semantic search, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and multi-model orchestration to deliver intelligent, context-aware assistance.

As an AI/ML Engineer, you will be at the core of this platform, working on
LLM integration, NLP pipelines, semantic embeddings, and RAG systems
. You will design and optimize AI workflows that make engineering knowledge instantly accessible and actionable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement semantic search using embeddings and vector databases.
  • Develop RAG pipelines for contextual knowledge retrieval and AI responses.
  • Design and train lightweight intent/domain detection classifiers.
  • Experiment with AI model orchestration strategies (multi-model routing, fallback, optimization).
  • Benchmark and optimize model performance across accuracy, latency, and cost.
  • Collaborate with backend, data, and full stack teams to integrate AI features into production.
  • Continuously improve AI routing, response quality, and retrieval accuracy.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience in AI/ML or applied NLP.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and ML frameworks.
  • Hands-on experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar).
  • Experience with embeddings and vector databases.
  • Solid understanding of RAG pipelines and semantic search systems.
  • Familiarity with classification models (intent, domain detection).
  • Knowledge of API integration, microservices, and containerized environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Preferred (Good to Have)

  • Experience with multi-model orchestration tools.
  • Familiarity with knowledge ingestion pipelines (PDFs, APIs, technical documents).
  • Exposure to hardware/software engineering domains.
  • Experience with MLOps for deployment and monitoring.
