The role involves proactive monitoring of regulatorydevelopments, securing all required licenses and permits on time, and servingas a key liaison with government and regulatory authorities. Description of theroles and responsibilities1.       Regulatory Monitoring & Analysis• Continuously track and analyse new and evolvingpolicies, regulations, tariff orders, grid codes, and standards issued bycentral authorities (e.g., MoP, MNRE, CEA, CERC) and state bodies (e.g., SERCs,SPCBs, DISCOMs).• Assess the impact of regulatory changes onexisting projects and the development pipeline.• Prepare concise briefs and reports on regulatorydevelopments for management and internal stakeholders.2.       Permits, Licenses & Approvals (ProjectLifecycle)• Manage the complete process of obtainingstatutory approvals, licenses, and permits for solar, wind, and hybridprojects, including but not limited to:o   Land conversion/acquisition clearances. o       Environmental & forest clearances (whereapplicable). o Grid connectivity approvals from CTU/STU and DISCOMs. o CEA and Electrical Inspectorate clearances.o   Licenses mandated under central and state actsfor power generation.• Ensure accurate, timely, and comprehensivesubmission of applications and supporting documentation.• Track progress and proactively coordinate withauthorities to expedite approvals.3.       Compliance & Risk Management• Ensure compliance with statutory requirements,environmental norms, safety standards, and industry codes for operationalplants.• Identify regulatory risks for ongoing andupcoming projects, and recommend mitigation strategies.• Maintain a central repository of all regulatory approvals, documentation,  and correspondence.4.       Liaison & Advocacy• Build and maintain effective relationships withofficials from regulatory authorities, government departments (e.g., All StateRegulatory commissions, CEI, MNRE, MoP, CTU, STU, DISCOMs, SPCBs, LandDepartments), and industry associations.• Represent the company in regulatory hearings,stakeholder consultations, and meetings as required.• Support the legal team in drafting responses toregulatory queries, petitions, and policy consultations.5.       Internal Guidance & Support• Provide expert regulatory advice to internalteams including Project Development, Engineering, Project Management, Legal,and Finance.• Conduct training sessions for internalstakeholders on regulatory updates and compliance requirements. Qualification•       B.Tech -Electrical, Environmental Science, Public Policy, Energy Law/Policy, or anMBA, is a distinct advantage.•       Experience - Min 4 -7 years of direct experience in regulatory affairs, policy analysis, orcompliance management within the power sector, specifically with a focus onrenewable energy (solar, wind, or hybrid projects), Fair Technical Knowledge onPower evacuation from solar / Wind•       In -depthknowledge of India's electricity laws, regulatory frameworks (Electricity Act,2003), energy policies, and environmental regulations in both central and state(Karnataka is mandatory) levels.•       Familiaritywith tariff determination processes and grid codes (IEGC, state -specific gridcodes).•       Strongcommunication (written and verbal), negotiation, and interpersonal skills foreffective liaison with authorities and internal stakeholders.•       Musthave strong organizational and time management skills•       Mustbe self -motivated with the ability to tackle multiple projectsWhat to expect•       Youmay be based in an office or on -site. Site visits and field work are conductedoutside and, in all weather. •       Travelmay form a part of the role and company will provide travel and accommodationfor such business trips•       Insome situations, it may be a very isolated job where you're the only personworking.
