NPD Job Description-OFC

Job Purpose: To support in carrying out research, plan, and implement new programs and protocols, and to oversee the development of new OFC products.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Designing new products, product improvements and product customization
  • To know the customer needs through research and market data & Originate new products in concert with customer needs and business model.
  • Optimization of process parameter to minimize raw material consumption.
  • Experiment with and analyse different materials, manufacturing processes, design tolerances and other factors in the developmental process.
  • Deliver specifications and procedures to manufacturing teams who can then begin production.
  • To carefully plans interventions/modifications of existing OFC products.
  • Meticulously verifies documentation and maintain all customers, IMS & QMS requirements in place.
  • Assesses market competition by comparing the companys product to competitor's products.
  • To support in developing processes and systems related to product development.
  • Designing parts, fixtures and tooling to support development of innovative
  • Collaborating with machinists and manufacturing engineers to ensure manufacturability and execution
  • Enforce safety & health rules & 5S work standards throughout the sector.

Mandatory Skills/Certification:

  • Strong communication
  • Process knowledge of OFC production process.
  • Knowledge of fiber-optic cable design and installation practices in optical cable application spaces
  • Demonstrate potential for project management skills.
  • Expert on tools mandatory for comparative analysis.
  • Process focused with a concern for continuous improvement.
