Role Overview

We are looking for a sharp, analytical, and research-driven professional to support the Director with market research, business research, data interpretation, and strategic insights.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys industry research, field work, analysing trends, and presenting findings with a consulting mindset.

Key Responsibilities

1. Market & Business Research

  • Conduct research on aluminium industry trends, scrap prices, markets, and competitor activities.
  • Prepare comprehensive market research, feasibility reports, and benchmarking studies.
  • Identify growth opportunities in new markets, customers, and suppliers.

2. Data Creation & Analysis

  • Create, update, and maintain MIS sheets and dashboards.
  • Analyse purchase, production, cost, and dispatch data.
  • Interpret data to highlight trends, risks, inefficiencies, and opportunities.

3. Analytical & Consulting Support

  • Provide insights and suggestions based on research findings.
  • Support management decision-making with data-backed recommendations.
  • Assist the Director in research during vendor, customer, and industry discussions.

4. Reports & Documentation

  • Prepare daily/weekly research updates and business summaries.
  • Create presentations, briefs, and structured reports.
  • Maintain accurate data records and documentation.

5. Coordination & Support

  • Coordinate with various teams for data collection and research inputs.
  • Support special research projects, new initiatives, and strategic assignments.

Required Skills

  • Strong research capability (primary + secondary research)
  • Excellent Excel & data analysis skills
  • Good command over English (written & verbal)
  • Analytical thinking & problem-solving ability
  • Ability to prepare structured reports and presentations
  • Consulting mindset with engineering + research orientation
  • Comfortable with field visits for research (when required)

  • The Research Analyst will work with:

  • Primary Data: Field visits, interviews, on-site observations

  • The role involves understanding industry movements, analysing business variables, and supporting strategic decisions.

  • This is a Research Analyst role NOT a pure Data Analyst role.

    It requires business understanding, field research, and industry study more than coding or automation.
