Job Description: Maintenance Head

Location: Bhiwadi, Lenskart

Experience Required: 14-20 years

Position Summary:

The Maintenance Head will be responsible for overseeing and managing the maintenance operations of our Bhiwadi and Manesar facility. This role demands a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, capable of leading a team and implementing effective maintenance strategies to support the production process and ensure facility reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance Strategy: Develop and implement comprehensive maintenance strategies to ensure optimal performance of equipment, machinery, and facility infrastructure.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of maintenance professionals, ensuring high levels of productivity, safety, and morale, should foster team building.
  • Preventive Maintenance: Design and oversee preventive maintenance programs to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset lifespan.
  • Budget Management: Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, including cost estimation, allocation, and expense monitoring.
  • Compliance: Ensure all maintenance activities comply with regulatory requirements, industry standards, environment verticals and company policies.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical and electrical issues, coordinating with vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance maintenance processes, efficiency, and operational performance.
  • Safety: Promote and enforce a culture of safety, ensuring all maintenance activities are performed in accordance with health and safety regulations.
  • Cost Saving and KPI Initiatives: Power and Fuel, Water and Spares.
  • Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on maintenance activities, performance metrics, and key issues.

Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Advanced certifications or an MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: 14-20 years of experience in maintenance management within a manufacturing or industrial setting. Experience in eyewear or related industries is advantageous.
  • Skills:

Proven experience in developing and managing maintenance strategies and budgets.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation systems.

Proficiency in maintenance management software and tools.

Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Strong communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization.
