About the Role

The New Product Development (NPD) Executive will be responsible for developing new food products and variants, conducting R&D trials, and managing ingredient sourcing for experiments and formulations. This role demands strong food procurement knowledge, creativity, and a deep understanding of food technology and product lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end development of new food products and variants based on consumer trends and brand strategy.
  • Conduct R&D trials, recipe formulation, and product testing.
  • Manage food procurement for new product experiments and trials.
  • Evaluate raw materials, ingredients, and vendors for quality, cost-effectiveness, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with production and QA teams during pilot batches and commercial rollout.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation including formulations, trial results, costing sheets, and technical reports.
  • Ensure all new products comply with FSSAI guidelines and internal quality standards.
  • Research competitor products and suggest innovation-driven improvements.
  • Support continuous improvement of existing products and recipe optimization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, or allied fields.
  • 1–3 years of hands-on experience in New Product Development within the food industry.
  • Strong knowledge of food procurement, ingredient sourcing, and cost analysis.
  • Ability to work on formulation, trials, sensory evaluation, and documentation.
  • Understanding of FSSAI rules, labeling, and food safety regulations.
  • Strong analytical, research-oriented, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Creativity and passion for developing innovative food products.
