We are seeking a
Business Development & Partnerships Lead
to spearhead our sales efforts in the
Enterprise SaaS and on-demand products
space, with a special focus on the
higher education sector
. This is a high-impact role for a self-starter with a strong network, proven sales acumen, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition (Higher Education Focus):
Identify, engage, and close enterprise SaaS opportunities with universities, colleges, and education service providers. - Lead Generation:
Actively source and qualify leads via networking, partnerships, cold outreach, events, and digital channels. - Partnership Development:
Build and maintain strategic partnerships with edtech vendors, higher-ed associations, and industry influencers to create new deal pipelines. - Proposal & Solution Development:
Collaborate with our product and technical teams to shape tailored proposals and solution pitches for higher education institutions. - Relationship Management:
Cultivate long-term relationships with higher education leaders, ensuring client satisfaction and repeat engagements. - Market Insight:
Stay ahead of trends in higher education technology, SaaS adoption, and competitor movements to inform strategy and uncover new opportunities. - Brand Representation:
Champion our value proposition, products, and success stories at conferences, webinars, and client meetings. - Strategic Input:
Share insights with leadership to refine sales strategy, market positioning, and go-to-market plans in the education niche.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Proven Track Record:
At least 1–3 years of experience in business development, partnerships, or enterprise SaaS sales (higher education experience preferred). - Industry Network:
Established connections within universities, colleges, or edtech ecosystems are highly valued. - Sales Expertise:
Strong ability to prospect, negotiate, and close enterprise-level deals. - Communication:
Excellent presentation, storytelling, and negotiation skills. - Entrepreneurial Drive:
Motivated by performance-based rewards, able to work independently, and committed to building something long-term. - Understanding of SaaS:
Familiarity with SaaS products, subscription models, and the challenges faced by higher education institutions. - Collaborative Partner:
Keen to work alongside leadership and product teams as a strategic contributor, not just a salesperson.
