Contracts Manager - DSD
Job Description:
Leading a team and handling contracts for Digital Solutions Division. Ensure all contract KPIs are met by skilful project management. Ensure growth of the DSD contracts in terms of revenue and profitability. Assists BLM DSD in creating and executing successful business strategies for continual business growth through collaboration and communication with all relevant stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with Epiroc code of conduct, safety and quality guidelines
- Ensure smooth execution of the DSD contracts at various sites, performance tracking and people management
- Work towards meeting contract profitability and KPIs and legal requirements
- Work on business development, offer sales support, work on pricing strategies, market analysis and market intelligence.
- Supervise and ensure all technical jobs are caried out in accordance with Epiroc guidelines – like installation, testing, commissioning, routine inspections, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, configuration and replacement/repair of the different components etc.
- Ensure site coordination with product champions at PC so that all issues are resolved in time
- Ensure proper planning and management of inventory and buffer stock on sites
- Ensure optimized operations and controlled use of resources so as to achieve contract profitability. Keep a continuous monitoring of the activities
- Undergo regular training and learnings to upskill oneself in handling new products
- Maintain records and documentation, prepare daily, weekly and monthly reports
- Conduct regular meetings with customer with relevant data and reports
- As and when needed -site visit to underground is mandatory to have full control
- Reporting of any unsolved issues to PC on time coordination with site manager
- Ensuring tests & rectifying issues as recommended by Level 3 PC support.
- Escalating unresolved issues amicably and support site manager
- Smooth coordination with the Business Line Manager for all critical handling of contracts
- Ensure breakdown repair, predictive maintenance, overhauls, and backlog reduction & continuous improvement projects are done regularly
- Putting all efforts to result in solid equipment availability and reliability by implementing industry best practices, ensuring a solid safety and environmental culture is priority number one.
- Permanent customer relationship to keep the contract under customer satisfaction, cost control, revenues, and profit per machine and per site, responsible to get all payments
- Business development activities to spread the DSD business
Qualifications and Experience:
- Degree in Electrical / Mechatronics / Electronics / Mining
- Post graduation in business administration will be preferred
- 8-10 years of working experience in mining industry and contracts with sales/ marketing/contracts domain
- Experience of handling a technology product and solutions
Skills and Competencies:
- Tech- commercial leadership with customer relationship management skill
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, communication skills, decision making, conflict management
- Cost consciousness and financial acumen, business understanding
- Effectively leading the team, ensure optimum utilization of resources
- Willingness to travel frequently and work in underground mining environments and remote locations.
- Strong learning attitude and adaptability.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
Work Environment:
- Frequent travel to sites and regular stay at mining site
- Exposure to underground working conditions and rugged terrain. Extended travel hours etc.
