Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings and other structures.
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for repair.
  • Ensure compliance with electrical codes and safety standards (e.g., NEC, local regulations).
  • Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools.
  • Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, and other components.
  • Perform preventive maintenance on electrical panels, lighting, and power distribution systems.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests and electrical emergencies.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used.
  • Ensure all work is completed safely, on time, and within budget.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Technical diploma or ITI certification in Electrical preferred.
  • Valid electrician license or certification (if required by local law).
  • Minimum [3–5] years of experience as a full-time electrician.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematic diagrams.
  • Ability to use electrical testing and repair tools safely and effectively.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
