About the Role :We are seeking a seasoned and highly skilled Senior Java Microservices Engineer to join our dynamic team in Bangalore. In this role, you will be a technical leader, driving the architecture and implementation of large-scale, data-intensive applications. You will leverage your deep expertise in Java, Spring Boot Microservices, and Kafka to build robust, scalable, and high-performance solutions.

You will mentor junior engineers, champion engineering excellence, and provide technical consultancy to our clients. Key Responsibilities :Technical Leadership and Mentorship :

  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced engineers, fostering their growth and development.
  • Lead code reviews and promote best practices to ensure high code quality and maintainability.
  • Drive engineering excellence and establish coding standards within the team.

Architecture and Implementation :

  • Architect and implement large-scale, data-intensive applications using Java and Spring Boot Microservices.
  • Design and implement robust and scalable data pipelines using Kafka for real-time data processing and streaming.
  • Make informed technology decisions regarding databases, performance optimization, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), service mesh, and API gateways.
  • Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices architectures that meet business requirements.

DevOps and CI/CD :

  • Enhance and optimize CI/CD tools and pipelines for efficient software build, testing, and deployment.
  • Implement and promote DevOps practices to streamline development workflows and improve release cycles.
  • Work with cloud infrastructure and deployments.

Client Consultancy and Best Practices :

  • Provide technical consultancy to clients, offering expert advice and guidance on best practices.
  • Influence client technology decisions and ensure alignment with industry standards.
  • Work to solve complex architectural problems.

Data Management and Optimization :

  • Work with large amounts of data, and optimize the systems to handle those large data loads.
  • Work with database systems to ensure performance, and data integrity.

Qualifications and Skills :Education :

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (preferred, but not mandatory).

Experience :

  • 6+ years of professional software development experience, with a strong portfolio of relevant projects.
  • Extensive experience in Java and Spring Boot Microservices development.
  • Proven experience in building large-scale, data-intensive applications using Kafka.
  • Solid understanding of databases (SQL and NoSQL), performance optimization, and distributed systems.
  • Experience with container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), service mesh, and API gateways.
