Website Manager

Purpose

We are seeking a technophile passionate about creating the highest quality user experiences on our websites and dashboards. In addition to managing and maintaining the website day-to-day, you will have theopportunity to reimagineand revamp the CEEW websiteto bring our research, engagements, impacts and brand CEEW to life. You will excel in the role if you have a deep understanding of website design and development, integrations, performance, analytics, and search engine optimisation (SEO). An ideal candidate will be an analytical, UX-driven thinker who pays great attention and has the ability to use data to drive decision-making.

The role would be crucial in expanding CEEW's digital-first approach to showcase its vast range of research and communications piecesto an array of stakeholders, comprising government, industry, civil society, media, and the public at large. The candidate will get exposure to the inner workings of one of India's leadingthink tanks and will have the opportunity to understand the stakeholders that play a key role in the energy and environment space.

Primary Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor a functional, bug-freeand secure corporatewebsite on Drupal by working closely with an external maintenance and development team
• Manage the day-to-day updatesof the CEEW website and other projectportals
• Work closelywith the DigitalStrategy Lead and digital agency to plan and executethe CEEW website revamp
• Manage SEO tasks such as redirects, remedying broken links and page errors, monitoring and improving website page load speed,website traffic, and performance metrics,and analysing data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Prepare CEEW for an AI-first searchscenario. Identify and implement solutions to ensure CEEW is a front-runner in AI searches.
• Manage websiteupgrades, test to improve websiteperformance, and troubleshoot website issues to prevent potential downtime
• Oversee incremental UI/UX design and development of websites to ensure that they are visually appealing, user-friendly, and optimised for search engines.
• Help with other SEO efforts, includingimplementation and improvements
• Collaborate with research teamsin the ideation and development of data visualisations, web-based tools and dashboards.
• Take end-to-end ownership of the new web-based products —identify and understand target audiences, create preliminary design concepts and drive implementation of the overallproduct roadmap
• Develop and design high-quality content pieces for the website
• Simplify technical information for internalteam members and stakeholders whilecollaborating with them.
• Ensure budgetsand vendor invoicesare generated, approvedand processed in time.
• Stay up-to-date with the latestweb design trendsand technologies, makingrecommendations for improvements and enhancements as appropriate.

Other responsibilities

• Coordinate with third-party vendors(designers, printers, photographer/videographer) to ensure that collaterals are delivered as per timelines.
• Brainstorm with the team on creativeengagement ideas for digital mediaand work towards executing these.
• Provide on-ground support for CEEW events.

Selection Criteria Qualification

• Bachelor's degree in computerscience, web designor related fieldsor relevant experience.

Requirements

• 1-4 yearsof experience in web development, managing content management systems, UI/UX design or a similar role; freshers who can demonstrate good project experience will also be considered
• Expertise in content management systems, especially Drupal
• Highly proficient in HTML, CSS, Java script and jQuery
• Skilled in Figma or Adobe Illustrator is preferred
• Great understanding of SEO, GoogleAnalytics, Google SearchConsole, Google Task Manager, and AI platforms and their interaction with SEO efforts
• Well-versed with Canva and similar designtools
