Job Description: Inventory Management Specialist

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Operations Management

  • Oversee comprehensive inventory management across all product categories
  • Monitor and maintain optimal stock levels to meet operational requirements
  • Implement and maintain inventory control systems and procedures

Inbound and Outbound Operations

  • Manage incoming inventory receipts, verification, and proper storage allocation
  • Coordinate outbound shipments and inventory disbursements
  • Ensure accurate documentation for all inventory movements

Stock Control and Analysis

  • Conduct regular stock taking activities and cycle counts
  • Perform inventory reconciliation and investigate discrepancies
  • Generate inventory reports and maintain accurate stock records

Production Support

  • Create and manage production entries in inventory management systems
  • Coordinate material availability for production schedules
  • Track work-in-progress and finished goods inventory

System Management

  • Utilize computer systems for inventory tracking and reporting
  • Maintain data accuracy in inventory management software
  • Generate regular inventory status reports

Required Skills and Knowledge:

  • Proficiency in computer applications and inventory management software
  • Strong understanding of inventory valuation methods including FIFO (First In, First Out), LIFO (Last In, First Out), and weighted average costing
  • Attention to detail and strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Basic mathematical and problem-solving abilities

Experience: Previous experience in inventory management or warehouse operations preferred
