Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering.

Experience

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in civil engineering and construction management, preferably in large-scale industrial projects (smelter, refinery, metals, or infrastructure).
  • Proven expertise in executing civil and structural works for process plants, smelters, refineries, and associated infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methodologies, codes, and best practices.

Key Responsibilities

  • Civil & Structural Engineering
  • Lead the planning, design, and execution of civil and structural works for Primary Smelter, SAP, and Refinery within the copper project.
  • Ensure compliance with engineering standards, project requirements, and regulatory guidelines.
  • Review and approve drawings, technical specifications, and construction methodologies.
  • Project Execution & Construction Management
  • Oversee site execution of civil and structural activities, ensuring adherence to quality, safety, and project timelines.
  • Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and site teams to maintain smooth workflow and resolve technical challenges.
  • Monitor construction progress and ensure timely completion of milestones.
  • Quality & Safety Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to all safety protocols, environmental regulations, and quality control measures during construction.
  • Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and audits to ensure high-quality execution.
  • Address non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
  • Stakeholder & Contractor Coordination
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including process, mechanical, electrical, and procurement, to align civil execution with project requirements.
  • Collaborate with contractors, consultants, and vendors to optimize execution strategies.
  • Manage contractor performance, ensuring timely execution and quality delivery.
  • Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Monitor civil work budgets and ensure cost-effective execution without compromising quality.
  • Identify areas for cost optimization and efficiency improvement.
  • Commissioning & Handover
  • Support the commissioning of civil and structural infrastructure for the smelter, SAP, and refinery.
  • Ensure seamless transition to operations, including documentation, training, and handover support.
