Role & responsibilities -
Key Responsibilities:
Statutory Approvals
Ensure timely renewal and compliance of all statutory licenses, permits, and approvals related to the manufacturing unit.
Coordinate with regulatory authorities to obtain necessary clearances and maintain updated documentation.
Land Issues
Manage and resolve land-related matters including title verification, demarcation, and encumbrance clearance.
Liaise with government authorities and legal consultants for land acquisition and mutation processes.
Contract Management
Draft, review, and vet commercial and operational contracts, MoUs, NDAs, and vendor agreements.
Ensure adherence to company policies and legal requirements in all contractual dealings.
Litigation Management
Handle litigation cases pertaining to the unitlabour, civil, criminal, and regulatory.
Coordinate with external counsels, prepare case briefs, and ensure timely representation in courts and tribunals.
Liaisoning and Coordination
Liaise with local authorities, legal firms, and internal departments for legal and compliance matters.
- Support management with legal opinions and risk mitigation strategies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- LLB / LLM from a recognized institution.
- 8 - 12 years of experience in handling plant-level legal and compliance matters, preferably in a manufacturing setup.
