We are seeking an experienced and meticulous
Trade Finance & Operations Manager

to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be a certified professional responsible for overseeing the end-to-end processing of complex trade finance transactions. This role is critical in driving operational excellence, ensuring strict regulatory compliance, and delivering superior service to our various clients: corporate, institutional, and/or SME. The incumbent needs to be a subject matter expert, collaborating closely with Relationship Managers to structure innovative trade solutions while mitigating operational and financial risks.

This is a full-time position based out of Mumbai.

Key Responsibilities

·      
Transaction Management:

o  Oversee the complete lifecycle of trade finance products, including the issuance, advising, and settlement of Documentary Credits (Import/Export, Back-to-Back, Transferable), Documentary Collections, and Bank Guarantees

o  
Ensure timely and accurate processing of trade transactions in compliance with internal policies and international trade regulations

Stakeholder Collaboration:

• Partner with clients, vendors, and internal teams to deliver customized, compliant trade solutions.
• Facilitate seamless transaction flows and ensure adherence to Letter of Credit (LC) terms and trade documentation standards.

·      
Credit & Settlement:

• Monitor customer credit limits and ensure timely vendor payments as per contractual terms.
• Coordinate with credit and treasury teams to manage exposure and settlement timelines.

Required Competencies & Skills

·      
Experience:

A minimum of 3-5 years of progressive experience in Trade Finance Operations, Transaction Banking, or a similar role within the financial services industry.

·      
Technical Expertise:

• In-depth, expert-level knowledge of international trade rules and ICC publications.
• Proven experience in structuring, executing, and advising on a wide range of trade products.
• Proficiency in
  SWIFT
  messaging systems (MT7xx, MT4xx, MT2xx series) and core banking/trade finance platforms.
• Strong understanding of operational risk management, credit risk assessment, and due diligence procedures.
• Soft Skills
  :
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Strong client-facing and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proven ability to work effectively in a cross-functional and multicultural team environment.
