About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day financial operations and ensure accurate bookkeeping. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of accounting principles, GST, TDS, and hands-on experience with accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain daily accounting entries including sales, purchase, receipts, and payments.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements and general ledgers.
  • Handle GST working, filing of monthly/quarterly returns.
  • Prepare TDS calculations and file TDS returns.
  • Manage accounts payable & receivable, vendor reconciliation, and follow-ups.
  • Coordinate with auditors during internal and statutory audits.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and support the finance team with compliance tasks.
  • Handle payroll data, expense tracking, and petty cash management.
  • Use accounting software such as Tally ERP9 / Tally Prime.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • B.Com / M.Com / MBA (Finance) or equivalent degree.
  • Minimum 3 years of accounting experience, preferably in corporate or SME environments.
  • Strong understanding of GST, TDS, Income Tax basics, and accounting standards.
  • Proficiency in Tally / relevant accounting software.
  • Good MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, basic formulas).
  • Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and time-management skills.

Preferred Attributes

  • Experience working with companies in or near Gandhinagar.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills in English/Hindi/Gujarati.
