About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled
Multimedia Engineer
with strong expertise in
C/C++ development on Linux
. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with multimedia frameworks and tools such as
GStreamer
,
FFmpeg
, and
Mesa drivers
, and will be passionate about contributing to the next generation of computing experiences.

You will be responsible for developing and optimizing media components that support data centers, artificial intelligence, PCs, gaming, and embedded systems, working within a collaborative and innovation-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain multimedia components in
    C/C++
    using Linux-based toolchains.
  • Develop and optimize
    media frameworks
    such as GStreamer and FFmpeg, as well as
    Linux-based media players
    .
  • Collaborate with open-source communities and contribute to
    Mesa driver
    projects.
  • Implement and optimize features related to
    video codecs, color formats
    , and media pipeline integration.
  • Ensure code quality by following best practices in source control management using
    Git
    and
    Gerrit
    .
  • Participate in the complete software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Perform detailed debugging, troubleshooting, and performance analysis to resolve complex technical issues.
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code with strong attention to detail.

Required Skills

  • 7–10 years of professional experience in
    C/C++ development
    using
    Linux toolchains
    .
  • Strong experience with
    GStreamer
    or
    FFmpeg
    .
  • Familiarity with
    media player development
    on Linux.
  • Contributions or exposure to
    open-source Mesa drivers
    (preferred).
  • Understanding of
    video codecs and color formats
    .
  • Experience with
    Git
    and
    Gerrit
    for version control.
  • Strong analytical, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in open-source or collaborative development environments.
  • Background in media framework optimization or multimedia driver integration.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality code with attention to performance and reliability.
