About The Role
We're looking for a
Social Media Video Editor
who lives and breathes short-form content - someone who understands how to make videos that
stop the scroll
on TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts.

TikTok is our main channel - given our business is US focused. You'll work directly with the marketing leadership at
Hunch
to turn raw footage into viral moments or recreation of fatigued [but viral] ads that drive installs, engagement, and brand love.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into high-retention short-form videos seconds) tailored for TikTok, Reels, and Shorts
• Create multiple versions of a fatigued ad creative tailored for TikTok & Meta Ads.
• Identify and amplify strong hooks in every video to improve Hook Rate and CTR
• Apply storytelling and pacing techniques that maximize watch time and completion rate
• Collaborate with content strategists and UGC creators to repurpose top-performing clips for paid and organic use
• Analyze organic (hook rate, watch time) as well as ad metrics (2 second view rate, CTR, CPM) to continuously iterate editing styles
• Maintain a fast-turnaround workflow - from draft to publish - without compromising quality
• Manage asset organization, versioning, and delivery for cross-platform distribution

Must-Have Skills

• Strong command of editing tools (Premiere Pro, Final Cut, CapCut, or equivalent)
• Strong prompt writing ability to use the latest AI tools like Sora2, Veo3, Kling AI 2.5 etc
• Deep understanding of TikTok, Reels, and Shorts algorithms and what makes content go viral
• Proven ability to edit for metrics - specifically Hook Rate, CTR, and Retention
• Ability to source or integrate viral audio trends, subtitles, memes, and overlays seamlessly
• Strong sense of narrative timing, humor, and cultural relevance for Gen Z audiences

Personality Fit

• Curious about AI and constantly exploring how tools like AI editors, auto-captioning, motion tracking, and creative testing can multiply output
• Data-curious: you want to know why a video worked - not just that it did
• Iterative and experimental: thrives on fast cycles of testing, learning, and improving
• Ownership mindset: treats every edit like a product launch

What We're Looking For

• Portfolio or track record of viral videos (100K+ views) or accounts you've personally grown
• Obsessed with the science of storytelling and social media performance
• Comfortable working full-time, in-person, at our Delhi office

Bonus Points

• Experience editing content in the dating, lifestyle, or social apps space
• Understanding of creative metrics from ad platforms (Meta, TikTok Ads, etc.)
• Familiarity with A/B testing creatives and creative performance dashboards
